Blog? What Blog?

My apologies to the faithful Sinclair Says readers. It has been awhile since the last update. Here's why: We've moved. Moved to another townhouse three blocks from our former. Honestly, I think we may get professional mover status soon. It's almost 10pm and Scott is putting the finishing touches on some shelves in the garage. I'm sure the neighbors will be happy when this project is complete. Thank you to Mark, Sue, Sarah, Tom, Sarah, Mike, Doug and Lin for your contribution and support in yet another move. Should we just plan on this time again next year? Seriously though...thank you all for your help and a special props to my dad. He spent an entire weekend building shelves in our garage.

We've lost a bit of kitchen space but have gained...drum roll please...a bedroom! No, not for another baby. Not yet, anyway. For you! Yes, you come to the Sinclair house and you get a bed! Do you hear me? A bed! No more Aerobed for you. It's cozy and feels like home. Jacob still says "Sarah?" every time we pull into our driveway. There is some brick that resembles the outside of Sarah and Mike's house, so I am not sure if he thinks it is their house or what but I have to keep telling him that it is Mommy, Daddy, Jacob, Melly, and Luna's house.

Jacob. Jacob is almost 2! We are 2 1/2 months shy of his 2nd birthday. I hear it all the time...how they grow up so fast. Well, it is true indeed. Jacob is a sweet boy. He's been quite the helper with our move. He likes to help Dad with hanging pictures and using his tools. He is a thinker. He likes to figure out how things work. He's a tad impatient. Likes to do things on his terms and if it is different he throws a fit. Did I mention he is almost two? He is really into tractors right now. He uses a wrapping paper tube as his bat and hits ping pong balls around. He loves his nursery rhyme videos and he also likes to drive. Well, pretend drive. But every day he asks to drive. So there he sits...in the car with his hands on the steering wheel. He loves to read books. We read books before nap, before bed, and sometimes when we're just too worn out to play anymore. He loves to play "Ready, Set, Go" and run laps. He talks and talks and talks. My favorite right now is "sweetie". I might say "It's time to eat sweetie"...he repeats..."sweetie". He loves to point out everything he sees and tells us what it is...plane, train, boat, fireplace, garbage truck, mail truck, duck, kitty, geese, car, light, fan, screwdriver, bulldozer, dirt, door, hammer, phone, vacuum, pool, slide, stroller...and it goes on and on. Can you imagine how exciting his world must be? He's polite. When we leave the YMCA he signs thank you to his teachers and says bye. He has also started Art classes with teacher Ellen. His first finger painting is already framed. He loves breakfast. He's skipping his morning nap and starting to adjust to just one afternoon nap. I could go on and on.

So we're more or less settled, and getting back to our normal routine. Thanks for checking in and it won't be so long before the next update!
