Wine tasting

Our dear friends Jami and Jim hosted an informal wine tasting for us. (We were in our pajamas.) Very classy, no? Although I am usually a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or Italian Pinot Grigio fan, I now have a Pinot Noir favorite - Toad Hall Lavender Hill from the Napa region. It is lovely!

Weekend in Des Moines

We enjoyed a baby shower and BBQ for Becca in Des Moines this past weekend. Although it poured down rain the entire weekend, it was nice to feel the humidity and see the green grass! Jacob had a great time at breakfast on Sunday morning entertaining the crowd.

Pay it forward

I've heard of stories and seen it on the movies but last week it happened to me! I was driving through Dunn Bros coffee shop to pick up a pick me up. When I pulled forward and leaned out the window to pay she handed me this note and told me the person ahead of me had bought my coffee. Thank you to the person who made my day! Now it is my turn to pay it forward.

I'm fine, really!

Jacob had his first (and hopefully last) visit to the ER last week. He tripped on the stair and hit his forehead on the sharp corner of the banister in a house that we were looking at with a realtor. We had a really nice ER doc and he did a great job cleaning out the cut, er, wound and using a super glue type of product to glue it shut. We're hoping the scar is minimal. After making that comment to the gentleman that checked us in at the ER, he smiled and said to me, "Chics dig scars". I was a bit on edge last week trying to keep him from bumping it and opening it up again - which is what the doctor cautioned me of. He's sure a tough little guy. My heart still skips a beat when I see him trip but he's long since forgot about it - if only I could. :)

Flamingos, Bunnies, and Lambs, oh my!

Jacob enjoyed his first visit to the Minnesota Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Sinclair and Uncle Tom and Aunt Sarah. He thought the pink flamingos were very exciting - probably due to the fact they were the real live version of the flamingos in one of his regular evening story books.

We enjoyed celebrating Easter Sunday with church, brunch, and some warm afternoon temps for some outdoor bubble fun.

Peek-a-Boo

Peek-a-boo is a lot of fun but it is hard to stay completely focused when there is a bowl of bananas sitting on the table just waiting to be eaten.

Beep Beep Beep

Builder, Sweeper, Crayon-Eater...

My Spring Look

With spring upon us, Jacob has taken it upon himself to update my style with a new pair of frames. I'm just loving the green with yellow accents. You too, can have a personalized style update. He is taking appointments Monday through Friday, 4-6pm. (The limited availability is due to a VERY busy schedule. He works as a builder / sweeper for a good part of the day.)
