3rd Annual Book Club Bash

These pretty ladies (minus 1 member) make up the Yo-Yo Mamas.  Our monthly get together always *ahem* or maybe most of the time, consists of intellectual conversation of chosen book among other very sophisticated topics.  I love these girls!

Girls weekend (2nd annual)

Missy is contemplating our book club pick this month.

Staples.

Mandy and Krista enjoying happy hour.

We eat really well at girls weekend.  No hot dogs allowed.

Awesome.

Something was REALLY funny.

Sarah enjoying one of Missy's specialties.

Sara H's went straight to her head.

Guacamole queen:  Don't leave home without her.

Looks like someone has a signature expression.

Sadly my new camera doesn't have the setting where it shoots a whole bunch of pics in a row.  At least not that I can figure out.

Anna and Marie
Our second annual girls weekend was a hoot as always.  There is always plenty of great food, chocolate, shopping, wine, sleeping, relaxing, conversations and laughing.  Couldn't ask for a better group of girlfriends.  A special thanks to Denny and Lynne (Sarah's in-laws) for letting us relax at their beautiful lake home.  Already looking forward to next year!

Proof

We do get out now and again.  Thanks Marie and Jake for your great company, as always.  And thank you Muddy Waters for your beautiful deck, good food, and lovely refreshments.

Girls weekend (1st annual)

Fabulous lunch.

Baby bumps.

My little niece or nephew is in there!

Best guac EVER.

Popcorn, check.  Movies, check.

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage.

Okay girls...first one serious.

One more serious.  Except Sarah didn't get the memo.

Silly girls.
Last weekend I spent Friday and Saturday with my girlfriends at a beautiful lake home near Alexandria.  It was quite obvious we are all moms (or soon to be moms!) with little ones at home.  I don't think anyone stayed awake much past 11.

We had a great time doing whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, all the time.  It was lovely.  Props to the great hubbies who so graciously took over on the home front in order to help us regain our sanity.  Temporarily, anyway.

This was my first time away from Nathan and he did great for Dad.  I should probably get out more often.
