Merry Christmas!

Oh holy night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth!

Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born

Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas and a new year filled with much love and joy!

Love, The Sinclair family

2 new teeth and a new toy

Happy first day of December, friends!  We woke up to our first snowfall this morning.  Jake was excited but said "Is that all we got?"  Have I mentioned he really likes to shovel?  We all have colds (minus Scott) and are working on strengthening our immune systems for the winter we are about to face.  I'm hoping for a mild one.  Nathan (despite cutting his second tooth and a cold to boot) is seriously just plain happy.  We had a lovely Thanksgiving although I don't think I will vote to grill a turkey again.  We are starting our Christmas decorating this weekend...that is the plan as of now anyway.  Thanks for checking in.  Also, thanks Jenny for letting us use Alaina's bouncy toy!

Thanksgiving

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Phase 1 of our house projects are almost complete.  These are the rooms which are finished.  And I use the term finished loosely.  :)  Soon you will see pictures of Jacob and Nathan's room (waiting for one piece in Jake's room and the electrical in Nathan's room), the dining room (waiting to hang fixture) and eventually we'll get to the office and basement.  It is definitely feeling like home and we're settling in nicely.  Those squeaky floors?  We don't even notice them anymore.

Before and After - The Yard (Phase 1)

As I look at these pictures I am already missing summer.  The leaves are pretty much gone...it's getting cold.  And snow is just around the corner.  Anyway, as you can see our yard is a blank canvas going into winter.  I called this Phase 1.  My dad and Scott spend an entire weekend cutting back, weeding, and basically getting everything cleared out.  We had a brick path that we didn't even know existed.  It looks so bare compared to the overgrown jungle we had before - but we are looking forward to landscaping in the spring!

Halloween 2011

I wonder if Nathan will ever have a complex with clowns?

Dinosaur and Dad helping Grandpa and Grandma make cake pops.

They were so cute - but DID NOT taste good.

Lions and dinos and clowns, oh my!

Cutest lion ever.

Nathan:  "Hey guys...don't let Jake drop me okay?"  Jacob:  "I am going to smile for you but it is really hard to hold Nathan and keep my hood up.  I had better get extra candy for this."  Gwendolyn:  Mm-mm.  I wonder if Jacob would mind me chewing on one of his spikes.  My teeth are killing me.

Roar!!!!!!

The little lion.  A lamb would probably have better suited his personality.  Such a sweet boy.

Tom (marketing guru by day, paparazzi by night), Sarah (career woman by day, super mom by night), Gwendolyn (cute baby by day, kangaroo by night)

Best decorated house.

Legos.  Bravo on the costumes, Sarah!

Jake and Alaina having a great time with their new silly straws.
