I'm a bit behind in my blog update...imagine that. Last week my friend Kris and her son Owin (2 1/2) and new baby Olive (3 mos) came up from Rochester and spent the day with us. We had a great time catching up and Owin and Jacob had a wonderful time at the park and the pool. Olive is just a sweet pea and it was fun to meet her for the first time.

St. Paul Triathlon
August 23rd was quite possibly the most perfect day in history for the St. Paul Triathlon. Although the early morning was a bit brisk, as the sun came out it warmed up nicely with hardly a breeze. Due to absolutely zero training and a back injury on my part, I am hoping that next year I will be in the water and not standing on the beach. Thankfully, Scott filled in for me for the swim leg of the team event and went on to finish his bike and run portion. Way to go, guys!

Ready, Set, Go!
Grandma J. always had a new trick for Jacob to learn. This weekend it was saying "Ready, Set, Go!" Although I didn't capture it on camera she showed him how to get into the ready position with his hands on his knees. This kid's got a great arm, too. Who needs Favre when you could have Sinclair?

Pure Joy
We became members of the Minnesota Zoo this year. We've been there quite a bit but this the first time it was actually hot and Jacob got to play in the fountains. He wasn't expecting one to hit him in the face and thank goodness for the tractor that drove by (notice immediately after he is soaked he points to the left) otherwise I am sure he would have been crying as he came running back to me. I think I captured surprise more than anything.
