I wish every morning could be a Saturday morning. There's nothing quite like sleeping in (7:30am is the new noon) and then waking up with nothing more important to do than enjoy our Saturday morning coffee. Dad takes his black, Mom likes her with half and half, and Jacob prefers virgin lattes. Garrison Keillor wrote a catchy tune that pretty much sums up the joy of java:
Smells so lovely when you pour it
You'll want to drink a quart of coffee.
It's delicious all alone
It's also good with donuts, black coffee.
Coffee stimulates your urges.
It's served in Lutheran Churches.
Keeps the Swedes and the Germans
Awake through the sermons.
Have a pot of it today.
I'm sure you'll say it's awfully good coffee.
Happy Saturday everyone!
