It's almost time!

Sarah and Mike are days away from meeting their new baby face to face!  My prediction is 6/30...but only God knows.  If you would like to send me your predictions now is the time.  Gender, date, time, weight, name, color of hair.  I need to get my bag of goodies packed too...I am delighted to tell you that Sarah and Mike have asked me to be at the delivery!  I couldn't be more honored or excited.  Whether I am there to snap a few pics, relieve Mike when he wants to go grab something to eat or go the the bathroom (I remember I didn't want to be left alone...ever), or rub shoulders I am happy to help out in any way I can.  

While Jacob is away, Nathan will play

Jacob is spending a few days in the north woods with Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson.  While he is away, Nathan is taking full advantage of playing with all of the trucks and construction vehicles that Jacob usually hoards for himself.

He is also supposed to be learning to fall asleep by himself.  About a month ago he got in the habit of being rocked to sleep.  Now he doesn't like to fall asleep on his own.  He is doing okay at bedtime...but nap time is a different story.  He'll figure it out eventually.  Maybe when those darn molars finally pop through.

Nathan turns 1!

Nathan turned the big 0-1 on June 7th.  We had a beautiful weather, yummy food, and wonderful friends and family to help us celebrate.  Thank you to Grandma Jacobson for all of your time the week before and also all of your help and preparation the day of, Grandma Sinclair for the delicious dip, Grandpa Jake for all of the projects you accomplished, and each of you for all of Nathan (and Jacob's) lovely gifts and most of all your company and love.  Although he won't remember a thing, Nathan had a blast.  He loved his cupcake (video to follow once I figure out how to post it) and loves his new toys.  He partied hard as you can see from the last photo.

Jacob found his dragonfly friend in the pool.  They hung out a bit while waiting for his wings to dry.
